A little preparation before your delivery day makes the whole process much smoother, for you and for our team. Here’s what to do and what to expect.

Before delivery day

Clear the pathway from your entrance to the bedroom. Move fragile items, roll up rugs that could slip, and make sure there’s enough space in the room for the delivery team to position the bed safely. If you have an old bed being removed, have it dismantled or ready to move.

Measure your access points

This is the step most people forget. Measure:

Front door width and height
Any passage widths along the route
Staircases: width, headroom, and whether there are tight corners at the top or bottom
Bedroom door width

A queen or king mattress is flexible and can usually be manoeuvred through standard doorways. Bases in two parts are significantly easier to deliver in tight spaces. Mention your access situation when placing your order so we can advise.

For complex or apartment deliveries

If you’re in a complex, gated estate or apartment block:

Notify security in advance and arrange access for the delivery vehicle.
Confirm whether there’s lift access, and check the lift dimensions, particularly depth and door width.
Let us know if there’s a specific delivery time window required by building management.
Arrange parking for the delivery vehicle near the entrance.

Delivery checklist

☑ Clear the room and all walkways
☑ Confirm the delivery address and your contact number
☑ Arrange security access if in a complex or estate
☑ Check lift dimensions if using an elevator
☑ Measure staircases and door frames in advance
☑ Dismantle or move your old bed if it’s not being removed

Questions before you order?

If you’re unsure about any aspect of delivery to your specific location, particularly if you’re outside Gauteng or in a difficult-access property, contact us before placing your order. We’ll confirm what’s possible and what the delivery cost will be for your area.
