Choosing the right mattress comes down to three things: the size that fits your room and sleepers, the comfort level that suits how you sleep, and a price that fits your budget. Every mattress at Bed and Beyond is from a trusted brand, Beyond Sleep (exclusive to us), Restonic, Genessi and our Value Buys range, and available to view at our Randburg showroom.

Mattress sizes in South Africa

South African mattress sizes run from single (91.5 cm wide) and three-quarter (107 cm) through double (137 cm), queen (152 cm) and king (183 cm). Standard length is 188 cm; if you or your partner are taller than about 1.8 m, an extra length mattress (200 cm) is worth the small premium. We stock extra length in every size. Which comfort level is right for you?

Side sleepers generally do best on plush to medium mattresses that cushion the shoulders and hips. Back sleepers suit medium to medium-firm support, and stomach sleepers need a firmer surface to keep the spine level. Heavier sleepers should look at firmer, higher-density options, several of our Beyond Sleep ranges are rated by weight per person. Not sure? Mattress prices

Entry-level quality mattresses start under R4 000, solid mid-range options run R4 000–R8 000, and premium pocket-spring and hotel-grade mattresses range upward from there. A mattress is a ten-year purchase, mid-range is where most people find the best value per year of sleep.

We deliver across Gauteng, usually within a few days, or you can collect from our Northlands Deco Park showroom in Randburg. Outside Gauteng?
